It was 4 years on Tuesday for my mum. I always try to take no notice of the date, and as a family we celebrate her on her bday- but my subconscious won’t allow it, something always happens to make it a shit day for me!

My dad died on my mum’s birthday. ICU staff were incredible and offered to keep him going so it he wouldnt pass on her bday but my ever practical mum said no, he needs to go when his body says it’s time, and you need the bed. Classic mum.
