I felt this way about chickens. Spent a summer working at a chicken farm, after which it was really hard to anthropomorphize them as as anything other than God's dumbest creatures who would *absolutely* peck anything to death out of both stupidity AND malice, if given the chance.

I still can't imagine the Yankees not winning a game, so I'm prepared for them to rally in the Bronx, but man, it has been...lopsided so far, to say the least.

Step One was removing all legal protections for non-citizens, in both letter and spirit.

If you didn't realize that Step Two would be to start expanding the definition of non-citizens to include political enemies and undesirables generally, I don't know what to tell you.

Bari Weiss has never accomplished anything. She has only ever been paid to exist. "We need to run things like a business" say people who have never a day in their lives have had to demonstrate achievement in anything but self-promotion or ever even sniffed accountability for results.

Even if you buy their completely self-serving rationalizations for existing, they are, by their own admissions, utter failures. Did Bari Weiss bring balance to the WSJ? is the right happier with the NYT now? Never any accomplishments, just always more "they failed ME" cash-ins for the next jump.
