Although I ran unopposed for 1 of 3 seats, it was still a thrill to become an official school board member! What a privilege to support the kids & educators in my community. I can’t wait to get started!

Grateful for the support of my family and friends near & far, and everyone who got out the vote.

Multitasking this Election Day:
• working to get books into kids hands
• supporting @booker.senate.gov in his historic act of civil disobedience.

Happy to see more collegial support for him this morning. @durbin.senate.gov & @duckworth.senate.gov - where are you?

Let us not normalize domestic terrorism.

Let us also support children’s authors.

A.S. King has written a mountain of STELLAR #kidlit. May I recommend my personal favorite for middle graders AND grown ups?

It CAN be done.
If I can do it, so can you. Change happens at the local level.

I don’t think this is enough to keep reality at bay while I’m on vacation for a week. Should I bring an e-reader (no, not THAT one)?

This is one of my favorite quotes in the book. It’s a bit beat up from hanging in my cubicle where I used to work. It’s getting a frame & going above my desk in my home office.
