🧵I attended high school with a physical disability before the Department of Education was created (I graduated in 1980) and before the ADA was passed. My school had multiple buildings and many, many second floor classrooms.

People are really not grasping the severity of the situation in the US. Or, rather, they are, but the implications are so unthinkable that they put on blinders and try to delude themselves into thinking it'll all sort itself out, or some messiah will come down and save them in the 11th hour.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
