I dunno, in ~2013 there was a general sense that the "racist gamer COD lobby" caricature was outdated and that gamers were finally outgrowing that stereotype. Then Gamergate came along and revealed that, no, there are a lot of people who PROUDLY clung to that stereotype.

This feels like a trap akin to Payday 3. If it does not release with comparable features to Medieval 2, I expect that audiences are not going to migrate (which is relevant because Creative Assembly has been hemorrhaging money, and Medival 2 still has huge player numbers).
