I'm reading Astro City by @kurtbusiek.bsky.social for the 1st time & it's a revelation.
It feels real. Honest, human stories. Characters I can believe in and sympathise with. Stories that make my soul smile, wince, ache. Quality work. It should be mentioned in the same breath as the greatest comics.

Dango, a football player, posted on Instagram that he is grateful to Bournemouth, the football club he is leaving, for the experience. A newspaper article published by The Guardian reporting that Isak, a football player, said trust is lost between himself and the football club that employs him, Newcastle United. He has refused to play for them because he wants to leave.

I backed on KS at £21.00 paperback level and then ordered the 'floppy' at £7.99 on BackerKit.
I got excited about the Super Deluxe edition so added that with an extra paperback edition to gift to a friend.
In total £145.98
All I have received is the 'floppy' version.

But these two guys fixing what appears to be (and smells like) a sewage pump at King's Cross railway station deserve some sympathy!

FINALLY got my mits on a copy of Secrets of The Majestic (instigated by @chrismole.bsky.social who must be commended for the superb packaging -- complete with a sample of bog roll) 😂
I'm looking forward to reading it.

Picked up a few gems from @okcomics.bsky.social yesterday.

Among them were Old Dog w/ signed bookplate by Declan Shalvey and Altitude from @selfmadehero.bsky.social, which is a bulk of book for an incredibly reasonable £16.99!

As always, the OK folks were welcoming, helpful, friendly and chill.
