Punk rock didn't save the world, but it should have.

I try to stay on topic, but you're going to get random posts about housing, gardening, preserving/canning, dogs, and baseball.
I always tell them we've known Musk was a monster since at least 2010

A lot of vets seem mercenary anymore. I have to remind myself to tell them "Let's do one test at a time."

Fortunately we have a vet who's always trying to give us free or lost cost treatment. I always tell his techs to make him charge us.

Tell them you're a contractor and if they want you to use their corporate email and their workforce management system, they've probably established one of the IRS' factors of control and made you an employee.

Clearly you're being pedantic. Clearly you're creating a very narrow definition to meet your needs. And clearly you're willfully obfuscating the difference between LLMs, generative AI and basic digital tools.

Clearly.

Yea, it's really a combination of ugly AI and juvenile content. The tool makes it too easy to create crap.
December 4, 2025 at 12:16 PM
Digital and AI are not the same thing.
December 4, 2025 at 12:14 PM
Yea, it's kind of weird to post on social media but not want interaction.

Mute is nicer, I guess.

I think someone who you mute can still see your profile and posts.

I waited for ages to record "Hey Hey My My" once when all my local station insisted on playing was "Cinnamon Girl"

Making a playlist isn't the same thing.

There was an art to getting a tape just right and timing it to use up every last second of tape.

It also required a deep vinyl collection.

Oh, that's a good one. I had forgotten about it.

I think you know the over-the-top images I'm referring to -
"prompt - Show a very orange Donald Trump in a diaper soiling himself."

But that does bring up the problem that you can no longer trust any image you see not to be manipulated to within an inch of its life.

If only. Since FB, Google and the rest are totally invested in, they're going to force it down our throats.

For instance, if you try to prevent Google from training AI on your email, they degrade your email by turning off spell-check, grammar check and autocorrect

Almost whenever I use it, it "hallucinates" part of its answer. I can't use something I can't trust.

I use a screen shot blocker to hide posts from Twitter, but haven't found an AI image blocker yet.

I understand DuckDuckGo has one for their search engine.

My big thing, especially concerning Trump images, is that they are specifically targeting appearance to be as ugly and disgusting as possible. I thought we had moved passed that type of juvenilia. Trump is easy enough to make fun of because of his statements and policies.

Probably trying to close loopholes for account sharing. Netflix just did this because requiring people to log into TVs means users are more likely to hit their screen limits.
December 3, 2025 at 10:11 PM
That's probably better anyway.
