I am an ex RSPB employee who worked for two decades on nature reserves and field research. I believe that they are a very effective bird conservation organisation. They have called for a gamebird release moratorium.

Yes. I remember doing casual bird surveys in East Lothian Woodlands and being bemused by the lack of SF in prime habitats. By Whiteadder Reservoir in the open hills a pair breed by the water in a comparatively young plantation of deciduous trees.

Hi Kevin, I can't tell you how happy I am to see this post, I haven't seen Trevor in years and he looks so well 😊. He single handedly maintained all the North Kent Marshes RSPB buildings, I got to know him well at Elmley. A great naturalist and great company. Please pass on my regards

It is such a shame that the Caerlaverock of old, with its warm cafe and facilities is no more. Being out on a limb it doesn't attract the number of visotors required to sustain them. Not the swan spectacle of the old days either.

Many are leaving Labour and/or joining the Geeens due to Labour's unprecedented attack on nature through their obsessive policies on house building (while reducing nature protection) and airport building.
