Along with Howard and Lovecraft, Moore was one of the stable authors of WEIRD TALES, famed for JIREL OF JOIRY and Northwest Smith, icons of sword-and-sorcery and scifi to this day.

My friend Howard Andrew Jones has died after an intense battle with brain cancer (multifocal glioblastoma).
His friends and family are in mourning and the sword & sorcery genre is more barren for his passing.
I am so thankful for the time spent with him at REH Days back in June.

If there's anything I hope young creatives take from David Lynch, it's to reject the modern IP-driven impulse to explicitly explain and cleanly categorize the logic behind every single event and decision inside and outside of a story at least some of the time.

This Cait Sith announcement is the most upset I’ve been at an official pronunciation since the Harry Potter movies changed Volder-more to Volder-mort. I guess a billion wrong people can just will another language’s rules out of existence. Anglophone centrism is definitely a thing.

1) I’m going to make this public: for The Dark the loss of Amazon Newsstand effectively resulted in ten thousand dollars of revenue going poof, for the entire year. (Yes, that much!) I’ve made some cost-saving changes, but I don’t hold much hope for the monies from Kindle Unlimited . . .

Every time I hear about a new show that sounds good I look it up and see it’s based on a book. Now I can’t watch it until I read the book. The book goes on the TBR pile and two years later the show is cancelled and I’ve been too busy reading other things, usually short stories, to get to it. Repeat

When I saw this I thought he pestered her into making a bad call while she was still querying but it really is so much worse than that. She needs to delete the kindle book, hit the gym, and lawyer up.
YES. YES YOU ARE THE ASSHOLE. There is not an ice moon prison remote enough for this and even if there was it wouldn't be just for that "I did it myself" bit. Ice moon prison FOR A THOUSAND YEARS.
