Again; a lot of young critics have spent precious money from their day job travelling to London to review films for exposure, the least you can do is make an app strong enough to cope with demand ffs.

LFF press app is so useless. You log in at 8am when tickets go live, the app freezes so you refresh, then close and re-open because it endlessly loads, then when you hit ‘book’ and go to your bookings they’re not there. Shambles.

Unsure exactly how much of the Reddit Atheisting in this is played ironically, but I do think under all the showmanship there’s an honest, earnest core that’s incredibly difficult to be cynical about.

Also, “The third-best Knives Out” is still preferable to everything else produced by Netflix.

As LFF kicks off, I fondly remember my first one, when a bunch of people on twitter got annoyed after I suggested that a broadsheet critic getting to skip the queues while everyone else (often young journos working for exposure) had to get to Leicester Square for 7am or earlier whiffed of classism.
