??? he knocks her out, sure, but he doesn't kidnap her, strip her, OR leave her naked - he takes her to her own bedroom and starts looking through her stuff

it's not actually against the law to be normal to me

gotta say I don't love it when a complete stranger leaves a manifesto in my mentions. also weird when they make it impossible for me to discern whether their condescension is aimed at me or not. thirdly... "oxymoron" is not the word they want to use here, pretty sure it's "redundant."

I realize I'm repeating myself here but I want to say thank you again to everyone who helped me out - this covered my expenses to see Frankenstein plus a tiny bit extra that's going toward a $2000 car repair bill (which I negotiated down from $3000 🤢). morale... has improved.

is this explanation supposed to be for me...? because I've read the novel and seen the films - my reply about "Frankenstein's monster's erotica" is just a joke riffing on what that guy said to me

I've had a hell of a time trying to find it but I'm pretty sure it's Leone Frollo

ohh okay (I was concerned this was like a new term with a more specific meaning I wasn't aware of)

you gotta tell that to the people I know in real life, most of them never listen to me lol

Priscilla has the Walter White purity level recommendations, everybody better be taking notes

when I see someone actually writing down a movie I recommend instead of ignoring it like everyone else
David Lynch on an airplane in sunglasses looking at the camera and raising a glass of wine

Being Normal About Movies is too rare a quality these days so I'm very happy about this feedback (well, I'm personally probably a little too enthusiastic, but... mostly normal)

enjoyed the episode. nice to hear people being pretty normal about a movie
priscillapage.bsky.social
lmao this is a great compliment, thank you

guy got mad at me for sharing this comic on twitter back in 2017, but it's still one of my favorite exchanges. (he was not kidding, btw.)
my own tweet explaining "so in this Spanish horror comic, Frankenstein's monster knocks out a woman, and I was REALLY worried, but he just wanted to try on her clothes" with screenshot of a guy named Ziv quote-tweeting me to say "This is horrendously disturbing. I am disturbed. Honestly, Priscilla, you need to back up and look at your life and think to yourself, 'Self, is this really the person I want to be?' Posting frankensteinian erotica and shit?'" with my reply "this is exactly the person I want to be" and the followup "actually it's Frankenstein's MONSTER'S Erotica"
priscillapage.bsky.social
you think Frankenstein's monster is going to do something unspeakable to this woman, but it turns out he is misunderstood - he just wants to try on her clothes 😭
Frankenstein carrying an unconscious woman who looks a hell of a lot like Crepax's Valentina up the stairs - the bubbles read "Lectores: A que estais temiendo por la vida (y por la virginidad) de Zita?" and "Pero estad tranquilos... los gustos de Frankenstein son diferentes (je je je)..." Frankenstein's creature checking himself out in a full-length mirror wearing a garter belt, fishnet stockings, and stilettos, word bubble reads "¡Bel...lo!"

have been desperately looking for this old erotic Spanish comic I stumbled on almost 10 years ago called "El secreto de Frankenstein" and I'm so happy to report I finally found it
black & white comic panel depicting a sexy, thicc Frankenstein's monster disrobing in 3 different poses - pulling his shirt of his shoulder, seen at an angle; from the front, shirtless, beginning to take his pants off; then almost totally nude as seen from behind. the words at the top read "Strip-tease de Frankenstein..."

lmao okay well I would personally like to see it
