Signet ring morphology in follicular lymphoma. This doesn't seem to have any significance in terms of lymphoma prognostication, but imagine seeing those on an FNA - one might be led astray 👀

Diagnosis: Langerhans cell histiocytosis.

Discussion (1): The cryobiopsy shows the presence of at least 3 good sized fragments of lung parenchyma characterized by interstitial thickening. There is some interstitial fibrosis, but also increased cellularity in the walls.

History: The patient is a 34 year old woman with cough. She was found to have upper lobe cystic lung disease associated with small nodules and underwent cryobiopsy.

This is a clear cell stromal tumor of the lung. They have YAP1::TFE3 fusions, which are also present in YAP1::TFE3-fused hemangioendotheliomas and some pulmonary PEComas. Abbas Agaimy described these. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33899786/
