The publisher and developer are both part of "the industry", so what do you mean?

I'm not a fan of LLM prose, but LinkedIn writing has always sucked. In particular, the narrative style of a trite anecdote written in extremely short sentences separated by line breaks has been around forever (and one of my favorite parts of LinkedIn is Chad Profitz' parodies of such posts).

I assume this is to facilitate curl commands that won't go stale, e.g. in README installation instructions. But hopefully all the specific versions are also available.

The worst you can do is push jj merge markers, which are different from git merge markers. But that only affects individual commits, and pushing git merge markers isn't good practice either.

You could try the experimental "auto-advance branches" feature (yes, it's still "branches"), but it has some issues.

Personally, I've been meaning to fork jj; I just don't think I agree with the maintainers about the best way to support a branch that grows over time.

I got one recently! I haven't yet figured out a layout I'd consider ideal, but I do really like the keyboard.

The point is to not scan the small item. Scan the water bottle, then put both that and the small item in the bagging area at once to avoid the "unrecognized item in the bagging area" notice.

I would think that just leaving items in your cart and hoping no one notices would work too, though.

Do you mean when compiling the standard library from source?

Just tell them you can't wait for them to go grey, because they'll look so refined.

Huh, yeah, you'd think it would just be a heuristic for adding detail to the "cannot find value `rust` in this scope" message.

I guess there's that version of GCC that launched a game on certain UB. Not sure if that's an urban legend or not, or if it counts as the "language" having an Easter egg.

So things like the Zen of Python? I don't know any other examples off hand.

I don't agree with the post, but a possible reading is that they're arseholes for putting out good music that (prior to streaming) required buying a "greatest hits" album.
