I've found that Reddit game threads can fill that sports void. A little different, certainly, but it scratches the itch.

French horns are often included in wind ensembles or sat with the woodwinds in an orchestra because they have a more reedy timbre and blend well with the winds. Less of a mislabeling, more of a "what does this thing do" vs. "how is it useful"
