Still on a Fredric Brown Ed & Am mysteries kick. I realized reading this one that it was about being 18 and growing up as much as it was about solving a crime. Something I didn't get when I was a younger reader.

It's my birthday. I really do need a cheap semi hollow body guitar for my last big BBQ gig of the season. Obnoxious looking is fine, it's how it plays--so I get to hit the shops.
