"Be good. Do good."
--Joshua Patrick Allen
He didn't morph a damn thing. He pointed out a framing that is more accurate to the intent & spirit of birthright citizenship. A thing that's near-universal in the Americas because of colonization and chattel slavery and whatnot were endemic in this half of the planet. Are you dense or just a troll?

No, "Western hemisphere" has a very specific and simple meaning. Australia is not part of it. Please go back to high school.

Mostly he's just getting lists from the Federalist Society. It's not a secret.

This is a nonsensical response. No votes from the Dems aren't going to make Trump choose a different person. His appointee will be approved without their votes.
December 5, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Don't know who "you people" refers to, but the main point here is that there is quite literally no reason for any Dem to vote yes on a Trump nominee unless they agree that the person should be in that role. If the nominee will get appointed without their votes why go on record as supporting them?

Capitalism does not equal government? They're actually separable.
December 5, 2025 at 5:38 PM
What kind of an argument is this? There's no reason for any Dem to approve a single Trump appointee. Will it stop anyone from taking office? Probably not. But standing together in opposition sends a message, builds solidarity, and might lead to actual obstruction that would do some good.

I want to believe that this isn't true, but it's hard not to see things in that light. I've read too much dystopian sci-fi to dismiss the idea of AI-enabled mass enslavement.
December 5, 2025 at 2:49 PM
Probably not? She admits to being startled by the day in the next sentence, despite saying that the sun always rises.

His face is begging for a righteous strike.

Definitionally capitalism can never work for "the people."
December 5, 2025 at 2:12 PM
Never ever have I thought to myself "how do I make my boss happy." I've definitely spent plenty of time figuring out how to do my job better and make myself and my colleagues more effective, but pleasing the boss is a side effect, not a goal.

The fog of war claim is offensive. Members of the military who actually saw combat and dealt with real life-and-death decisions should be outraged at Hegseth's claim. There isn't a war, and it wasn't a high-pressure, high-stakes situation.
December 5, 2025 at 1:59 PM
Lol! This mfer wrote "soaked" instead of "appalled." Betcha he'd blame it in autocorrect if he was smart enough to even catch the error after the fact.
December 5, 2025 at 5:31 AM
They're actively working on that first item, and, well, a brief look at our penal system sure suggests that slavery never fully went away.
December 5, 2025 at 5:26 AM
You're correct, of course, but SOMEBODY needs to actually stop them. Being soaked and disgusted and outraged isn't going to make them stop.
December 5, 2025 at 5:20 AM
It's horrific, really.
December 5, 2025 at 5:15 AM
When you're writing things like "my work could not be retreated to" you are in need of deep intervention.
December 5, 2025 at 5:14 AM
This administration is actively and gleefully creating a dystopia and somehow no one -- here or abroad -- is going to stop them.

Is she fucking three years old?

Love that the sun always rises but it still startled her.
