The voice of working people in British Columbia, made up of BC unions representing more than half a million workers
Unafraid to speak truth to power—including within the house of labour—Wes's courage and vision of community and justice continue to inspire us.

Our deepest condolences to Wes's family, friends and coworkers, and to everyone whose lives are better and brighter because of his.

We're grateful to the BC Building Trades for holding this memorial every year. And we hope you'll join us in person, or on the livestream at bcbuildingtrades.org.

Remember the dead. Fight for the living.

To all those celebrating tonight, we wish you joy and happiness. Chag Urim Sameach!

And to all those who stand for peace and justice, and against hate in all its forms, we stand with you tonight and always.

Do you have some time between Dec. 17 and 19 to volunteer at the Maritime Labour Centre with setup and packing hampers, or on Dec. 20 to help us with the event itself? It would make a big difference!

Contact Maura at 604-430-1421 or email [email protected], and we'll work out a time.

And our thanks to the BCFED's Accessibility Workers Caucus for their year-round work to help ensure we uphold that commitment. (3/3)

As we reflect on this year’s theme of empowerment, accessibility and inclusion, let's continue to listen, learn and uplift the voices of persons with disabilities. True inclusion isn't a one-time effort, but a daily commitment guided by compassion and action. (2/3)
