You might see the wonderful work we have done for the Small Blue if you click on the links below. Even though the project ran 2009-12 weeks are still actively managing those sites & working hard at ensuring the butterfly continues to thrive in Warwickshire 😀🦋

Together with partners, we've managed 8,510 hectares of habitat for butterflies and moths across the UK over the past year - that's equivalent to over 12,000 football pitches!

There may be an arrival of moths tonight (6/10) and tomorrow night from Iberia/Canary Isles. Very little wind, cloud cover and generally mild temperatures along the south coast of England, so it should at least be a good couple of nights for mothing. #teammoth

Our Practical Conservation volunteers are at Ettington Cutting this week cutting and raking the grassland banks. We started management of this site in 2016 & it’s great to see how much it has improved since then.

Asters or Michaelmas daisies provide vibrant, colourful blooms well into autumn and are a vital source of nectar for bees and butterflies at this time of year. Named after the Christian feast of St. Michael (Michaelmas), celebrated on 29 September, look out for them flowering near you.

Today is the last day to carry out a survey for the 'core' UKBMS survey weeks. 🤞 the weather has been good enough to fit in your final survey.

Moths matter on farmland and we're working with farmers to help track them 🦋

This growing network of #biodiversity monitoring will lead to new insights into how nature is faring in agricultural areas.
