Our team of reporters analyzed data from the first half of this year and reported across two continents to prove the fatal consequences of these cuts. 1/

This is the work of Ed Blum (the man who organized the the Students for Fair Admission case).

Anyone can buy a ticket to a BIPOC night—the box office doesn't prevent it. The plaintiff could have attended without issue, assuming he wasn't offended by being surrounded by majority POC theatregoers.

ICE agents illegally break into a woman's bathroom in a NY nutrition bar manufacturing plant. "Pull up your pants," says a male agent. The agents only had a warrant to review employer documents. They didn't have a warrant to search for, detain, or arrest anyone there.

The number of people not showing up to court + being ordered deported skyrocketed, according to our early analysis of the data. Lawyers cite a few reasons: fear of being detained, DOJ sending notices to wrong places, other hiccups in delivery.

NPR analysis shows skyrocketing number of 'no-shows' in immigration court
More immigrants are not showing up for their mandatory immigration court hearings compared to prior years, an NPR analysis shows, allowing the government to order their immediate deportation.

1. robot cars adding to problems and/or creating new ones in already tenuous situations

At least five FUBARed Waymo robots:

Market & Guerrero, SF

One is a problem, two a mistake, five a major ops screw up. Waymo has never fixed their cascading failure problem. Maybe they don't know how.

Fundamentally unfit for service at scale until they do, IMO.

it creates no new civil or criminal penalties, it is a proposal to wield the power of the purse to discriminatorily deny care
