My name is Julika Spiegel. I was born in 1939 in Budapest to Pal and Erzsebet. During the war we lived in Eger. In June of 1944, German soldiers murdered me in the gas chamber at Auschwitz. I was 5 years old. This photograph is all that is left of me.

26 January 1937 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Esther Polak, was born in Amsterdam.

She arrived at Auschwitz in a transport of 1010 Jews deported from Westerbork on 28 July 1942. She was murdered in the gas chamber after selection.
