I have a genuine question for the US Congress: with our internal checks and balances of the Executive Branch being gutted why the hell are you surprised that there is a group chat about war plans? Like our watchdogs already get gutted or reduced funding and now with everything we’re surprised?

To those of you who write: When you're writing something, do you have it all mapped out ahead of time, or do you kind of get going with a general sketch and then let it "write itself" as you progress.
I'm more the latter, especially with fiction. But even with nonfiction I'll make adjustments.

Ya know a great way to deal with everything right now: don’t watch it. Stay informed. Know what is going on, but don’t give them the satisfaction of it dominating your life anymore than it already does. Easy for me to say, will be harder to practice.

Look. I’m not surprised by the Supreme Court’s decision. Am I deeply annoyed? Yes. Do I think a Court that has the citizens it’s looking out for question its motives because of its partisan nature should weigh in here? Not really.
