I would say - more can be done to help seniors who own their own homes, stay in them - from tax free boarding to reductions in taxes paid to schools and breaks on utilities.
Seniors / Boomers do hold a key resource that can help society deal with lower rents and homelessness.
If you let them.

regardless of where we seem to live we have common factors that affect us - Insurance costs - Municipal Tax creep - Utilities
Somehow, no one is making the connection that seniors, who own their homes, should really be able to live in them.

Time to blcok funding to Israel and if need be - send the Military to protect Canadian interests in Gaza. While we are at it - start landing relief to women, the sick, the elderly and children.

Its why we placed regulators to keep everyone in check.,...we just weren't hard enough on those that tried to break or game the system.
