This happened to me. In my mid forties, going grey, I would crush the phone screen. As soon as I was brought in for the interview (pre-zoom) I could see it on their faces - “who is this old lady?” and never got beyond a first round. I colored my hair and, like magic, had multiple job offers.

Part of the reason why we don't have younger people is that the current representatives stay well past their sell-by date. If you believe you are going to stay in your seat until you die, there is no reason to build a bench.

I’m also a fan of hers. It has to do with the fact that everyone is in decline at her age. If she wins, she will be 84 at the end of her term. We do not need another Diane Feinstein situation.

The Dems need to stop supporting the geriatrics in their party. How about setting an age limit - like if you’re over 65 the day of the election you are on your own. With the current system, there is no incentive to build a bench. The incentive is to stay in power.

We all end up paying for the tariffs. If the companies don't pass along the cost to consumers, it will be reflected in their profits. This means reduced growth/employment and reduced returns for pension funds and 401ks.

One of the factors that allowed McCain to run for president even though he was not born in the US was that he was born on a US military base under US jurisdiction. Shouldn’t the same standard apply here?

I'm not giving Rogan a hall pass on this one, but the important take away is this is an issue that crosses ideological boundaries. This is an issue that Dems can use to reach voters that sat the last election out or voted for the other guy. It turns out, people like due process.
