The Cheese Tax is payable to any being who is aware of the opening of the cheese bag, and that includes the opener. I grab a handful as a snack any time I’m using it for anything, and also sometimes open the bag specifically for snacking purposes and nothing else

I can’t speak for the British side, but here in the states it’s actually getting pretty common to need to enter your license plate number in each of the million different apps used for parking. Each new app requires entering it again, so I have mine memorized by accident now
