Loved The Cure anecdote. Is Pete’s show with Barry Humphries online somewhere?

'I never speak behind people's backs. If I've anything nasty to say, I pop it on a postcard.' RIP Patricia 'Kitty' Routledge.

She was a fantastic actress. A sad loss. Didn’t realise she was that old.

Publication day for #IntoTheGroove!

Thanks for your patience and tolerance in the run-up to this.

I will be on BBC Radio Sheffield at 10.10 and BBC Radio Northampton at 11.40 this morning. BBC Sounds will have them up later.

And here’s me signing copies in Cover to Cover, Mumbles.

Woman looks vaguely like Anne Wills. Should have got the actual Anne Wills.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Pre-social media! It’s a fascinating show. Tony complaining about how little comedy is being made. What would he think now?

I’ve been re-listening to the show for the first time since it went out to sync with this podcast and it is such a joy. I’ll be in bits when it ends.

LOL. They’re not even talking up the one positive of this: a way to deal with some people having no ID to take to the polling station.

That’s a parody of an English place name, surely!

That looks kinda like the house from To The Manor Born.

Vale Robert Redford. He was in so many great films but my favourite was All Is Lost, where he had just one word of dialogue. And it’s a corker.

We're back for Episode 2!

We dive deep into the machinations of Rex Hunt. Is it dizzy stuff? You’ll have to tune in and find out.

Oh definitely. Getting special shelves built would take them to the ultimate level of DVD ownership.

Just realised the millennial’s DVDs are arranged in alphabetical order (by title). Which is correct, unless you have stand-up DVDs, then it’s by the stand-up’s surname, or music DVDs, then it’s by the band’s name or artist’s surname. This is important!

People who toss the cases are the devil. Especially if the case contains a booklet.

This is absolute amateur hour though:

“There’s a real joy in slowly building up our collection over time. (We've built up a collection of over 200 discs at this point.)”

You aren’t into physical media until you’re in danger of needing to move to a bigger house.
