i think its kind of been assumed that the kanto player characters don't have a dad in the picture, but its probably more correct to say that their dad is a busy salaryman commuting back n forth from the burbs to the city. probably sees their kid enough to talk about sports w/ them. yeah.

anywaaay grain or salt and i doubt we'll ever have it confirmed. but i think its worth noting that the player character mentions their dad once or twice in the game (re: celadon dept store when checking out the video games)

now sometimes i give into the deeply rooted desire to powerscale because "its not that deep bro" and they're supposed to be echos of the roger pirates (re: roger = luffy, rayleigh = zoro, gaban = sanji.) but the hockey comparison is probably more apt then ranking them.
