Also I present this as evidence to WoTC of the importance of having cheap fixing and staple effects available in special frame treatments too. Not just a handful of flashy rares. Fortunately Evolving Wilds is a decent enough substitute here for Rugged Highlands. Racers’ Ring I’m undecided about.

Yeah, I watched the @eternaldurdles.bsky.social guys play a match on YouTube and that seems like the verdict. “They’re much more linear” being a comment that was made. Which is definitely a good thing as the beta decks do feel a bit unfocused. Not that I mind that, but linear = easier for newbies?

Really takes me back just flicking through these. How Magic was in high school. Limited spoilers… oh my that looks amazing: is that Kirschner? I didn’t realise he was doing art for them… then there’s all sorts of crazy new abilities on cards that instantly start you strategising and building around.

One of the prehistoric science type channels I follow has started displaying “No AI” on screen on its videos which I both appreciate and also hate because obviously it’s now that common for channels to overuse AI that they need to actually state that.
