Chuck Schumer made it clear that Democrats aren’t going to do anything to stop this. So the gutting will continue apace.
And once (if) the Court rules in a year “you can’t do this” and it’s already done, who will rebuild?

They can’t close the Department of Education. Only Congress can do that.
