Eh, I think we're better off without the social media that let's strangers influence Grandma. Signal is ideal for keeping in touch with family, but mine won't move until the alternative is gone.

And if it's gone, well be forced to find another one. It can't happen soon enough!

This is a city. It's got residents other than yourself who also commute division, and for the millionth time, that business already existed. We've all got different perspectives. And "arguments" is about right. I still support mixed infrastructure. You won't change minds by scolding.

I didn't write the article. All I said was i liked the DQ and the drive-thru. I'm not building it. I just like milkshakes and everyone's going off on me like I kill puppies. Wtf?
December 18, 2025 at 7:18 AM
It's been swell, but the swelling's gone down! I'm going to bed. Hope nobody gets run over by evil cars tomorrow!
December 18, 2025 at 6:34 AM
No, it's just your imagination. You see everybody who doesn't agree with you as "bad guys". We need to start coalition building and stop fighting amongst ourselves. There was a drive-thru there before. No one got killed.
December 18, 2025 at 6:33 AM
You're constructing some vision of an opponent in your mind. Maybe there's room in the world for two kinds of burger places?
December 18, 2025 at 6:32 AM
Also DQ is affordable. Your fancy place sounds very expensive compared to dairy Queen. Some of us can't afford to be fancy. I make $50,000 a year, what do you make?
December 18, 2025 at 6:30 AM
And I'm just trying to get dinner for myself and my son without looking for parking blocks away and get home at a reasonable time to eat it!
December 18, 2025 at 6:29 AM
The absurdity and unwillingness to see another side or allow for differing views, maybe? PS, my family are disabled. 😉 Maybe think about who you might be talking to.
December 18, 2025 at 6:28 AM
Sure. I'm driving around all day tomorrow I'm my coal-roller to look for people in wheelchairs to block in driveways.
December 18, 2025 at 6:26 AM
Not "let". It fell into bureaucratic hell.
December 18, 2025 at 6:24 AM
Plus you never answered this question.
December 18, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Also I'm not taking the bus away from anybody that does use it. But I'm not going to. And if you knew why, it would curl your hair.
December 18, 2025 at 6:06 AM
I don't go to the drive-thru at 60th and Duke, because the DQ at 60th and Duke is nasty. Have you been there?
December 18, 2025 at 6:06 AM
PS, I own both of my vehicles and don't have "crippling auto debt" . I also have an e-bike, a regular bike and shoes. I get to choose because I'm American. I'm not on the right, I'm WFP, but I did not vote for you. And I won't. And I still approve of the drive-thru.
December 18, 2025 at 6:05 AM
No, you are saying that everybody has a right to your vision of transportation. That everybody has the ability to spend an hour on a bus going one way to work and another back. Taking less time for their families. And I have well earned bus anxiety. What am I supposed to do?
December 18, 2025 at 6:02 AM
There's precious little joy these days. I just want my pumpkin pie Blizzard. What if they plant milkweed on the roof What makes the hippies happy enough to have a discussion instead of shutting everything down because someone wants to use a car in the rain or snow or because they can't walk?
December 18, 2025 at 5:57 AM
I mean, did you read the article? Do you know for certain it was not factual? Because it sounds like this developer was given a green light on his plan, then got mired/robbed by bureaucratic inaction. Or are you just anti-car (freedom for many!)
December 18, 2025 at 5:50 AM
What did they do when there was a drive-thru there a few years ago? Did kids die?
December 18, 2025 at 5:28 AM
The owner said it won't go in at all without a drive-thru, sadly.
December 18, 2025 at 5:27 AM
It was there already, they just improved design so it doesn't interrupt traffic. Did you read the article?
December 18, 2025 at 5:24 AM
I'm pro drive-thru. I drive a scooter most of the year and I love me a Blizzard. It's easily converted into a cycle-thru if that time ever comes. That DQ also happens to be in my way home and man, I'd love to have that option.
