@kingarthurbaking.bsky.social what did I do wrong with my Oatmeal Sandwich Bread?! The dough was suuuper slack but I went with it (note floury bits from wrangling dough). I weighed the ingredients. Simply over proofed? lol. I’m sure it will taste fine, or I can give it to my neighbor’s chickens!

🚨 🚨 🚨 HOMEWORK 🚨 🚨 🚨

The email address for federal workers to inform on their colleagues is [email protected].

Would be a real shame if folks flooded that inbox, rendering it useless.

Thinking back to one of the hottest days of last summer, when I wandered, melting, around Fort Ticonderoga.

Favorite no alcohol adult beverage?
Right now, my favorite is Fever Tree Sicilian Lemonade on the rocks.

I’d love to give credit, but am ignorant of the artist.

Am I the only one who is deeply discomfited (germ-wise) to be wrestling intimately with a large raw turkey? I cut mine into parts yesterday and, while I can confidently state I did a bang-up job, I still feel like there’s not enough soap and bleach on Earth to purify me and my kitchen.

I’m not saying I’m touched with divinity or anything but I did orient the bottom bedsheet correctly on the first try this morning.

Might turn my attention to world peace later.

It’s such a weird disconnect when CNN is quoting Karl Rove saying harsh things about tRump. Of course I agree re the harsh things, but am I REALLY in the same camp as Rove?!?!

Last sunny day for a while. Perhaps a metaphor for something…?

This.
I refer to growing up in the acid rain/Bermuda triangle/quicksand/impending nuclear conflict era as being "classically trained" in generalized anxiety

Here’s a picture I took in Bandelier National Monument last year. We should probably be documenting the conditions at federal parks and forests, since that vile 💩 wants to defund literally everything except the military and his personal pockets.

May I suggest a book for the impending collapse? "Surviving the Future" by Shaun Chamberlain and David Fleming has been a comfort read for me lately. A gentle but prescient book about what it means to create community amidst societal collapse. Highly recommend for this moment.

Sorry but all the fables and fairy tales I read as a kid led me to believe people would be learning WAY more lessons than they actually do
