The various creatures "deal 1 damage each time you play a spell" are much more reliable.

These creatures are too expensive and too slow just to get popped. They need to cost 1 or 2 or be stronger upfront. Imagine holding back Opt and Shock on turns 1-3.

That's a 5/6 on turn 2.

I think there's a word that combines the two but I can't remember.

IMO, J cares about cards that are good situationally. T likes cards that are good in a vacuum. And S likes cards that are optimal, and these can all overlap.

First two are J. Third is mostly J but slightly T. Fourth is strictly T.

Level 1 is good, but not if you want to make Level 6. For that, you will need either a Lv5 monster or two other monsters.

You could use Cyber Dragon, but this is still less convenient than having a higher Level Tuner.

In this case, Quickdraw Synchron is more convenient, especially with Tokens.

Turbo Warrior??

I know that Drill Warrior was historically the most successful but I wasn't aware of any other Yusei Warrior Synchro that was a meta mainstay.

Cute anti-synchro synchro. But Turbo Synchron is terrible. (Situational effect, only Lv1).

Synchro on debut wasn't very significant to warrant a "counter" like this. And by the time they
were good enough to be worthwhile, they wouldn't be threatened by this.
