I absolutely believe it showed probable cause Cole was the perp, a low standard of proof. I also believe it doesn't show the standard of proof most DOJs would require.

DOJ has reportedly since filled in parts of the story that DOJ normally required BEFORE arresting (like the sneakers and motive).

Whether they got their guy is a wildly different Q of whether they can (or will want to) convict.
I suspect there'll be a VERY good 4A challenge.
This guy probably qualifies for one if not both of Trump's pardons.
We'll see whether his Miranda warning was proper.
I ABSOLUTELY don't trust the AUSA.
