Indeed. After 30 years the details are now a bit fuzzy, but we remember going and enjoying it :-)

Mine was a performance at the Young Vic, just after I had spent 2 years studying Hamlet for A level, so *really* enjoyed it. Many years later, my 2nd Stoppard was Arcadia, on one of my first dates with @bellinghman.bsky.social

What you can't see in this photo is all the side greenhouses branching off this main corridor, each with a different environment.

Nope, we were walking through the greenhouses in the Cambridge Botanical Garden. We had been outside in the cold and wet for a couple of hours, nice to get into the warm and dry.

Great minds and all that - I've just done exactly the same (but without the travel anxiety).

We have hanging containers for seed and mealworms that are like columns with a small opening at the bottom and a very small platform, supposedly so that only small birds can feed. The magpies take off vertically under the containers & crash into them so that the contents bounce out onto the ground.

It is, unsurprisingly, a very American-skewed list, made for an American audience. Can't risk upsetting the talibangelicals.

Ooh, Happy Birthday!

Me in hotel: I would like to dry my hair.
Hotel: You must drag a chair from one side of the room to the other, unplug the fridge (or the tv) and sit at least 3ft away from the only mirror, which is above the shelf you put your suitcase on.

I slogged my way through the series, partly because I was a must finisher but also because others said it was good and I kept going thinking I'd either missed something or would get to the good bits but I never did. I ended up resenting the loss of reading time of books I would have actually liked.

{hugs} and much ❤️

We sometimes have one circling above our house - lovely to see but I have a twinge of worry if our cat is out.
November 17, 2025 at 8:31 AM
Our house battery has gone into storm watch mode and is charging itself up from the grid in case of power cuts - unlikely, but you never know.

Definitely Ebook for me.

*waves back* glad to be in our hotel room!

Oh yes. A man appeared the day after the roof work ended and took it down very efficiently and cleanly; it had been up for literally weeks before the work started, was nice to have it gone.
