It was ridiculous. How many egg stories can one person have?

Which immediately made my memory try to edit my massive irritation with her into something more benign. Not very successfully though.

But it’s funny how that works.

When I arrived at my stop, we all got off and I finally got a look at her. I realised I had seen her earlier when I got on and had very much liked the look of her. I had even thought briefly that she looked like someone I would like to get to know.

Yes, eggs. Egg statues. Egg paintings. Humpty Dumpty. Eggs.

I’m normally pretty good at white noising strangers in public, but in this case I failed to the point where only self consciousness kept me from plugging my ears with my fingers.

I once waitressed at the Big Boy just at the entrance to Cape Cod, so I feel this image. :-)
