On a bus ride this afternoon I was reading. A couple as behind me & the woman loudly shared a constant flow of stories.

She had an adenoidal childish voice which got on my last nerve. I could not read. This was made worse since she was mostly telling stories about humorous depictions of eggs.

Nuzzi and Lizza sounds like a 90’s sitcom about two elderly British women and the hijinx they get up to

I paint realistic moths & butterflies on glass housed in thoughtfully selected frames, creating small jewels of artwork inspired by nature, nostalgia & fleeting moments.

Friends, I really wanted to like the new Frankenstein, but I did not like it.

The soundtrack and the overly theatrical production sets broke my interest.

Also, how many minutes running time?

Soon small businesses won’t have to wait for Small Business Saturday to get attention from their Mayor.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

It turns out I had read the Pinkwater before. I had forgotten the title, but remembered the bronze potato and the Bermuda Triangle Chili Parlor.

I really love his books.

53 years ago, on the 29th of November 1972, Atari released Pong, which was originally created by Allan Alcorn as a training exercise. It was based on the ping-pong game available on the Magnavox Odyssey home video game console. Pong was the first commercially successful video game. #otd #history 🗃️

Anyhow, I’m now reading Alan Mendelsohn, the Boy from Mars by Daniel Pinkwater, which is one of his books I managed to miss as a child.

I just finished rereading Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George for the first time since I was a child. 💙📚

I picked it up knowing it was likely to be problematic. I was curious because I remember My Side of the Mountain almost by heart, I have no memory of Julie.

I've heard from my friends in Churchill that the ice has arrived and the bears are finally heading out to break their over 150 day fast. (this photo is from a few weeks ago) Hudson Bay is still a long way from fully frozen, but at least they can get out and start hunting. #BearSeason2025 #Mammals 🌿
