I eat tech for breakfast, music for lunch, and games for dinner.
I appreciate that you have it safely contained.

You know, my grandma had the same sitch. I don't know if this was pure hypothetical or they figured this out after an MRI or something, but her nerves in her mouth were in a different spot. It's uncommon, but totally plausible.

developed an HVAC training simulation with it that would translate to providing info when working on real equipment), but it feels like we're only now getting to the point of having hardware that can fit in a device that can do this work well.

It's a great question. When Google first announced Glass, I was ready to sign up (minus the fact that I couldn't afford the kit haha). The bigger headsets having onboard compute and higher fidelity/clarity screens did have some value (Microsoft's HoloLens series was cool - worked at a place that

I do wish the players were a little nicer on tablet (tiny controls + low light are not a great combo when trying to skip sections during my nightly DS9/VOY wind down), but if you continue to need workarounds to meet the family's needs with Plex, might be worth a look again.

This is neat! If you're getting to the point of wanting to swap, it hasn't been a slam dunk, but on the whole, Jellyfin has been an acceptable swap from Plex for our household, enough to abandon the lifetime PlexPass.

In my opinion, charging to manage self-hosted runner orchestration is "fair", if a rugpull. The state of the current product though is pretty lackluster, and that makes any increase in cost a hard pill to swallow.

That said, after having one for about a year now, my personal recommendation is for anyone who _thinks_ they want a 7b for a VO mic to consider Logitech Blue's Sona. I constantly get compliments from folks on its sound.

I'll counter that the SM7b is a fantastic microphone, but only when paired with an additional $500+ of kit, and rarely do I see someone providing recommendations for a solid preamp, EQ, compressor, etc to make it sing.

Well, considering you're Tim Onion, it kinda feels like same energy? 😆

Huge thanks to Docjekyll, my composer-in-crime and @madjackmcmad.bsky.social for letting me splat Genesis sounds all over his game.

@philsalv.bsky.social Any chance you know of a WildTangent archive that might have this?

My first real tech job was at one of the last "mom and pop" ISP holdouts in my area in the mid-2000's, and muni fiber success stories remind me of those times.

Yes. This, but hair.

It could be the switch that controls all the RGB lighting in the case. Or it could illuminate a single green LED on the front. Either way, awesome.

Even if you weren't part of the Earthbound fandom, I truly feel that the documentary is worth a watch. It's a tangible story about how a creation can grow beyond its creator, and be embraced for it all the same.

More than just a story of a bunch of kids that turn a thing they love into a cult classic, it's a story of how we made our own third spaces on the internet before we centralized on social media platforms. It's a story of a different era of fandom, before it was canned and process into content.
