Mechanical engineer -> automotive journalist -> automotive communications/entrepreneur. Here until it inevitably turns into twitter.
Is this better or worse than the cringiest, most handjobbiest, most anti-science cover I've seen The Atlantic produce in my memory? When this hit my mailbox I stopped. Haven't worked up the courage to read the 12 pages of all text yet. Hoping I still find respect for the Atlantic at the conclusion.

The Mach-E Rally. I know because I wrote the press release.

Indiana has been electing pieces of shit to the governorship since Frank O'Bannon died in office.

Seriously, it's folly to think the GOP majority in both the house and senate aren't fully on board with what's going on. It's been the plan they've been saying very much out loud and working toward for the last 45 years.

When Nixon was being naughty it was principled Republicans who forced him out.

Not wimps. Collaborators.

I guess I appreciate your enjoyment of driving (?) but that's way beyond my threshold. At ~250-400 miles I'll take Amtrak if it's convenient, more than that it's fly time.

You are miserable.

instead of saying "shot" and censoring it, in the future you can use the phrase "received a ballistic tracheotomy."

"The whitest, blondest, blue-eyedest, richest singer in the world is being targeted by Trump daily."

I'm dying at this very accurate description.

Our reporter here apparently doesn't have real estate agent contacts or talk to neighbors. Measure by the median rather than the average and this has been the case for the better part of a year.

Name them.

Termites don't infest healthy, living trees.

Ed's Auto Reviews has a pretty neat video on it. Guy kind of just fell ass backwards into more or less breaking it.

The funniest thing about the American right is the grandiose sense of self importance. China's exports to the US accounts for 3% of their GDP. We have no leverage against a country that measures success in centuries.

That's... not how trees work.

"This just in, as of January 20th, 2029, President RuPaul's first executive order after swearing in declares Donald J. Trump, and all Trump family members 'pee pee poo poo heads.'"

Disappointing in-cabin storage and a few other minor complaints didn't merit the juvenile framing and general sourness I heaped on an otherwise really good car.

I wonder if other reviewers have similar regrets in their history.

I gave few genuinely bad reviews in my time as an auto journalist and the one that sticks out in my mind as unearned, hacky, lazy, and regrettable was for the 2010 Buick Lacrosse. It's been 16 years and I feel lousy about it and would apologize to the program manager, Jim Federico if I could.

-44F or just 44F? Because -44F would mean you're livin' colder than the North Pole.

Just regular 44F... That's almost t-shirt weather. Thick long sleeve shirt? Hoody? A medium-weight sweater?
