Right now the clock is ticking: can we save our democracy, federal agencies and rule of law before the damage is irreparable?

I'm sure you know that it took Hitler less than 6 months to destroy democracy in Germany?

I understand that with a GOP trifecta in the Capitol, your options are limited.

Still, I feel the Senate Dems are not meeting the peril of this moment with the urgency required.

We are seeing daily assaults on the rule of law, our constitutional rights, our national security, our federal agencies which we funded by Congress, a continual usurpation of the congressional power of appropriations, a stream of language that brings hatred, division and lies, attacks on the courts, law firms, universities, proclamations that normalise racism and even segregation. The economy is plummeting and our alliances are broken.

As your constituent, I write to ask, no, demand, you do more.
The Senate dems have been bringing Roberts Rules of Order to a knife fight.

Please stop acting as if any of this is normal. If the illegal DOGE actions were being done with tanks and paramilitaries and bulldozers, there would be burnt out shells of buildings across DC and the nation.

Please: use the tools at your disposal and force your brainwashed GOP colleagues to rejoin reality:

PLEASE:

Consider these actions that Senate Dems and Independents could do that would force your GOP colleagues to work together or down tools:

- Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored

- make Quorum calls

- Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule is restored

- Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored

I also urge you to obtain a copy of Project 2025 and start to be proactive. Game out strategies to oppose the agenda measure by measure.
