He’s socially awkward and not a great engineer but he’s not stupid. Remember that him purchasing Twitter was not to make it profitable, but to make it his own propaganda arm.

I used to work for a subsidiary of Steward. It was well known inside the org that the top mgmt was overpaying themselves and underpaying everything else, including their aging infrastructure.
