I used to make software; now I am making my first indie game.

Things I ♥️: my wife and son, animals, huskies, malamutes, bears, all of them really), books, human-made(!) art, humanity
I do love it when people spin up a website with "100% custom technology" only to forget to do things like replace the T&C instructions in their Wix template.

Bonus: Search for the exact string and, well, you guessed it ...

Update(!): Needed to get y'all a fresh snap of the husky for your day.

To get my mind off things this weekend I (finally, after 2 years) routed this butcher block top, oiled it, built a base from an old bunk bed frame, and mounted it for the kitchen.

Then had neighbors over for a small Tu BiShvat nosh as a test run. (Not all food yet laid out in these pics)

Spent the weekend mostly offline, working on a kitchen island, and recharging. Hope y’all got to have a restorative couple of days.

Here’s the husky sleeping early a few nights ago, half jammed under my bed.

We’ve made it to another Friday! How about a picture of the husky dog napping with his bone to start off your weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well as we near the end of another week. Here’s a picture of my goofy husky absolutely locked in on a tennis ball when he was at the kennel last month.

Okay, what do we think about colors that may not be super "natural" for something organic? I actually really dig some of these.

(Needed a break from coding because coordinating websocket connections across server instances is exploding my mind.)

Forgot to post yesterday’s wild pop of color as the sun came up, so here it is!

LA Times really buried the lede here.

This was fun, and accurate, though I expected more druid as well. I am bit ranger irl, and nearly always in D&D (or any RP that has one)

Okay, so I refined the roots a bit, and did a couple variants. The name of this project is going to begin with an "r" so I also added a little, organic sprouting "r" version. Any thoughts on individual faves here? Or pairs/sets?

NGL, I think I’ve mastered making a vegan roux that looks, tastes, and performs perfectly for mac and cheese.

New phase of the demo/construction across the street makes our house rattle like this. Been going since 7:30am. Send ibuprofen and denser earplugs please!

(Its audio only video, since I dunno how else to get an audio recording on here.)

I’m late to this thread, but this was our Kirby. He was a rescue and had had to fight for any food, so for the first year or so we had him, he’d disappear anything seemingly before you had brought it out! Miss both these ding dongs.

One of those “How has this not existed until now?!” moments this morning when seeing this bag-closing tab made of paper. (Not plastic!)

I don’t know what to do with a second sunny day in a row here! Guess the husky gets three extra-long walks again today.

Also, while typing that post, somehow Windows autocorrect doesn't know the concept of "whole-heartedly" but _does_ know like every negative version of it?!?

MS not recognizing "heart" seems accurate too, tbh.

Svelte docs throwing shade on the entirety of React.

I whole-heartedly approve.
