I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that aggro decks play bad cards.

Besides, I'd much rather run Anger or TukTuk Rubblefort for haste over a creature that taps to do it.

I'm still not thinking this is the aspect of the deck that I think needs the attention.

More importantly, is a "value-centric" Seifer build even possible? My build went buff-heavy and those buffs tend to give trample. So let me ask YOU, how would you get Seifer thru for value over damage?

Tonight I played Seifer, a spellslinger voltron deck I didn't like, and it failed in two ways. It failed by playing how I expected it to, and I failed it by playing it poorly, knowing what my expectations were.

So... did I do the deck dirty at conception or execution?

As a brewer, I like this perspective the most. It puts the idea in the same category as building for a bracket or building your deck without any staples. It lets you problem solve how you get a deck up to your standard using different cards. Full agree.

If anything, I think we're seeing a content echo chamber that sees creators yelling into the void with other creators seeing them doing this and also yelling into the void. And so there's a pocket of discontent that permeates despite being relatively small.

No, I wouldn't prefer that nor would I really encourage it in my own content.

Like, yes I really love when the creators put a lot of effort into a Magic universe set. It shows in both the story telling and card design.

But I also get a kick out of how they match flavor to mechanics in UB sets.
