I was in Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 a couple of summers ago, and Glasgow Central Station looks a lot like that (except without aboveground thru-running) — it's a city-defining piece of infrastructure.

I'm knind of amazed they haven't tried to connect it to the Queen Street Station, a few blocks away.

Weather data for calendar year 2025, from NOAA and NWS, showing temperature ranges, inches of precipitation, and inches of snow. In the last month, our temperatures have been high, and apart from one rainfall event about two weeks ago, we haven't had much rain since the end of July. The chart says that 30.84 inches have fallen, against an average of 33-34 inches of rain. 14.10 inches of snow, against an average of 22 inches.

Depending on your local laws, it may not be.
In my city, a combination of rigorous 311 complaints over months, plus (at the PD's insistence) occasional police non-emergency calls for abandoned vehicles, resulted in a similar auto shop changing its habits.

Adults will stand there wall-eyed while someone under a massive sign saying "Standard Screening, Enter Here" repeats it out loud to them "Yes, standard screening, here," while their kids get it instantly.

I got hit by a car while riding an ebike.
I posted the crash video to Reddit.

Several commenters said I was going too fast — 22 in a 25mph zone — and that drivers shouldn't be held responsible for every action taken by the vehicles they control.

This is the main issue I have with so much of the coverage around e-bikes. It's not that there aren't legitimate issues. But there is a panic around e-bikes and crickets regarding the daily toll of cars. And that's because the harm of cars is just accepted. It's baked into our society.

If you believe in bodily autonomy for all, then no one needs you to understand their personal situation to earn being seen as a person by you.

You just treat every human being as a person.
