Apple gave the bones of Homekit to be standardized as Matter and the iPhone version of Magsafe became Qi2. I REALLY would like Apple to offef Airplay 2 as the starting point to a single streaming audio standard.

Though she never entered service, uss Kentucky was the only ship to be designated a Guided Missile Battleship being redesignated from BB-66 to BBG-1. She would have had the 16" guns replaced by talos and tartar SAM launchers with almost 600 missiles and 16 Polaris SLBMs.

I understand why it can't happen yet, but I want an Air Pro. Once battery tech allows it. My iPhone 15 Pro is so thick and heavy it's not even funny.
Also I'm dismayed that the guy who designed it has left Apple.

The B2B sales cuts at Apple concern me. Yes for the human factor, but also that a more Dell or HP-like culture slowly infecting the company. I feel former red lines may be crossed for stock performance. It's felt increasingly more like beige Amelio Spindler Apple for some time.

Martin Gero coming back to helm #stargate feels a lot like Terry Metalas taking Star Trek Picard. He's a veteran of the series who has done a lot of great things since. I'm really looking forward to this.

There are far more advanced Matter smart thermostats out there, but Honeywell X2s has one major advantage in my situation: it has zero learning curve coming from the ancient RTH6350 it replaced and in my situation, that's important. Plus it was $56 shipped.

I'm really starting to really feel like Apple is far more focused on getting commissions than creating creating great user experiences. The business side is wasting what hardware teams are making. They absolutely do not understand or have urgency been with AI either.

Research in motion had a sizable lead and then everything changed. They were too full of themselves and not flexible enough to adapt to the changing market conditions the iphone and Android brought and the Blackberry faded away.
I'm worried whether Apple's leadership can adapt.

Fun fact, while the US Coast Guard does use its own serial numbers, the format is the same as the Naval Bureau of Aeronautics system used on Navy/ Marine corps aircraft right down to the Aircraft type being written above the BuNo.
