I recently spoke to the Daily Mail about fertility trends in the UK. We dug into what's driving the decline and what it means for "baby deserts" and future of UK, etc.

I could not be more proud of Magdalena. She completed her PhD with an excellent dissertation and has already started (I'm sure doing fantastic work) at InterAmerican Development Bank (IAB) in Washington, D.C. Magda has been the glue in the PhD Programme. I'm sure LSE will miss her terribly!

Yet another study (this time by Claudia Goldin) that uses cross-sectional data, and finds evidence for a U-shaped pattern for gender equality and fertility, even though this pattern does not exist for (almost) any country across time.
