Today’s tea in the #AdventCalendar is green tea with lemon. Not sure what it tastes like because it was late before I got a tea break and I didn’t know its caffeine content.

Today’s tea in the Twinings #AdventCalendar is Orange and Cinnamon Spice. Orange spice made me think of Foster Cypress so he is modeling it. The tea is delicious - I started tea drinking with Constant Comment and love citrusy teas.

Yesterday’s Twinings Tea #AdventCalendar - with bonus foster #catsofbluesky. I like that there are two teabags so you can share (or have extra). The tea was a black tea with “Christmas spices” and was tasty. Would buy.

Except for the year I lived in England, this is the first time I haven't spent Thanksgiving Day with my parents. They are in assisted living now and the big "do" was last week (and I was there). I'm grateful they're alive and doing okay and spent a day cooking, cuddling with the cats in the sun 1/

Three years ago I had to say goodbye to my beautiful chaos muppet Lucy. We were able to talk via a communicator and she had a gentle passing after her "going away party". She's been a presence with us ever since. #loveneverdies #hedgewatch

This week's small moment of joy: recently I came into possession of one of my grandmother's sewing boxes, which my mom had used. I opened it up the other night and found one of the "Made With Love By Grandma" labels she would sew into my clothes. It felt like a visitation.

I miss interacting with people from all my circles on Bluesky, but my dad was pretty close to dying and I just couldn't deal with the news on top of that. He's much improved but there have been other family things to attend to on top of work and other dailiness.

Oh it’s been too long since I had delicious soft serve at Curbside Creamery. Last time was the day I adopted Jack. Mint chocolate and vanilla swirl, om nom nom. I even lucked out on parking and the line.

When I was a kid we used to say things like "the last one in is a rotten egg" and I was reminded of this because I cracked an egg in one of my little dishes for a breakfast sandwich and whoooeee child it had green streaks. PEEEE-YEW.
I guess I need to try my luck with egg buying tonight!
