Went to an archive for a friend. Did everything by the book. Ended up with 5 digit legal bill. May not be over yet.
I think we need a mega thread of everyone's craziest archive stories.

Hi friends of Kryptos K4 🧩, I heartily recommend to read Richard Byrne‘s powerful essay: „Not So Wonderful Things“ 😮📜
For the past 10 weeks, I have been at the center of the Kryptos K4 auction imbroglio. But why did Jarett Kobek and myself turn down money for our silence and refuse to sign NDAs?

I explain it all in a new STAGE WRITE essay titled "Not So Wonderful Things."

The Kryptos sculpture by US artist Jim Sanborn was dedicated on November 3, 1990! So, this enigmatic 🧩 and wonderful 🤗 work of art is now officially 35 years old 🎉 and it‘s been quite in the news of late, I‘d say! What will the auction bring? What will come thereafter 🤔 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kryptos

Here‘s a delightful thread about the many ways the Latin language offers to talk about money and wealth 😀
Finally watching The Last Kingdom and have encountered one of my historical/fantasy writing pet peeves, which is having just one or two 'old-timey' ways to say something like 'money' and then using them over and over again almost like proper nouns.

In tLK, 'silver' and 'wealth;' like 'coin' Skyrim.
