At this point it looks like they all know they’re cooked, and they’re doing things that will create future profits on paper in the hope the breakthrough they want will happen before people realise this isn’t free money if they just invest in this industry

Part of the deal would allow them to rent AMD chips from a third party manufacturer. It’s such a fucking bubble. Honestly at this point TSMC seems the only safe company in the whole house of cards as at least they’re the one producing the “shovels”

Addendum to my thread the other day, one of the two biggest GPU Chip manufacturers; AMD, has signed a multi year deal with OpenAI to supply chips, probably “worth” around $500Bn. Part of the deal allows OpenAI to buy shares worth 10% of AMD over that period. This is essentially wash trading.
