Despite all the laws and rhetoric and violence, the number of people who identify as trans still continues to increase across the country, every year.

Their attacks are escalating precisely because they are afraid and desperate they have failed so far.

"Oppression is the mask of fear."

Consider that, despite dozens of states banning trans care for minors in the last several years, as well as bans on literature or teachers talking about trans people in schools, the number of trans youth keeps increasing every year, across the United States.

The increasing escalation from the far-right in their attacks on us reflects the primal desperation the fascists feel knowing they are continuously losing their fight to commit genocide. As Karis Nemik writes in his manifesto in Andor, oppression is the mask of fear.

Again, focusing on individuals staying or going misses the point.

What does become a real problem is when the issue gets framed (usually by more gentry expats or those who follow them) as "everyone who stays is doomed."

That is false and it is genuinely, unacceptably damaging.

Vast, vast majority of trans people aren't going to leave the country. Many can't leave the areas they're currently in.

If trans survival/liberation are something one cares about, at all, that's the reality.

this is how abuse culture perpetuates, you mock and ostracize people who call out orgs for being abusive, protecting said orgs from accountability and ensuring they always have a fresh stream of victims. be careful out there, and join hyperlocal groups to avoid the problems of hierarchal ones.

never join a leftist discord, I opened hasan's for some reason to post a meme and replied to someone about a leftist org warning about their history of abuse, then dozens of stans of said org started harassing me and got me banned for having a server tag with t-slur I had for months with no issue

I'm the one correcting misinformation and I'm trans and part of your "they" here. Don't generalize and don't do weird collective punishment against my friends just because some trans people are scared and got duped by a shitty news outlet.
