This isn’t about whether Dems support it. America as a whole isn’t yet on board, much like they at one time were not supportive of gay marriage. This is politics. I don’t think Newsom “hates” transgenders. People need to be eased in to cultural acceptance.

Really? I don’t remember Obama being openly in favor of gay marriage when he ran for election, despite how he may have personally felt on the issue. You have to first get power before you can champion some causes.

Not transgender issues. I’m not saying that it’s not a valid issue. We need to attract independents to maximize our votes in 2026. If we don’t win, we can’t do anything to advance such causes.

It’s far too early for me to have a “choice”. He’s somebody who is effectively pushing back and embarrassing Trump, which I like. My point was that if Newsom WAS the nominee, of course I’m voting for him. I’m not not voting, and I’m not voting for another party. I don’t live in CA. I live in WA.

She doesn’t really provide any testimony in response to real questions. She rants and raves and deflects - conduct that normally could get her removed from office. But for her, she doesn’t care as her removal isn’t going to happen.
