Two years ago, my favorite dinosaur descendant scratched an itch literally, for him, and spiritually for me. Been going steady with Roadie ever since.

🙏 don't poop on my ☎️
Roadie perching over my phone seems cute, but lately, our table etiquette has relaxed. When he is about to give chase, he lightens the load before take-off. He used to jump off the table first. Lately, he's skipped that step.
Disclaimer:no phones were harmed

Much of my prolonged interactions with animals is about establishing a comfort zone through repetition. This is a piece of a much longer song session with Roadie, who waits till the end of this clip to comment.

Sunday morning with Roadie, waiting for rain. I sing, bird listens. I know he doesn't understand the words, but I think he gets the good vibrations. #Roadrunner #birds #interspeciescommunication #singalong #serenade #monsoon

#Narbonne with a very old 1884 lens from when photographers needed to be half artist and half chemist. Exposures were made on rigid glass plates. Chromolithography was used for the colour then, much easier with digital!

The Lesser-long nosed bats are in town, which means every morning the sugar-water feeders are slurped dry, so I fill them for the daytime crew of hummingbirds and Gila woodpeckers. That's 32 cups a week!
